Work Experience: Before coming to UCC, I spent 10 years in children’s programming for the City of York and was a Director of YMCA Greater Toronto. After several career changes I went back to school to complete my teacher education program.
Biography: I coach numerous teams including soccer, hockey and lacrosse. I was fortunate to play university lacrosse and hockey while attending the University of Toronto, winning a national championship in hockey. In 2014 I was inaugurated into the University of Toronto Sports Hall of Fame – Hockey. My first job was a hockey/skating instructor at a hockey school, and for many years I taught skating to both children and adults. I’m married to Tina and together we have four children: Connor, UCC ’13, Sarah, Queen’s University ’20, Kate, North Toronto H.S. and Ryan, Glenview Senior Public School.

Biography: My wife Bina and I have enjoyed over 10 years at UCC. I divide my time between the Prep and Upper Schools. U13 soccer and U12 hockey are my coaching assignments, and I thoroughly enjoy working in Seaton’s House as a senior house adviser. Prior to teaching at UCC I taught in South Korea and with the Toronto District School Board for a total of eight years. During my free time I enjoy nothing more than RVing across Canada with my family.

Academic Background: B.A. in English literature (Hamilton College), B.Ed. (University of Windsor), M.Ed. in leadership and policy (OISE/University of Toronto)
Biography: I was assistant and head coach of the varsity hockey team from 2004 to 2014. I was the first UCC director of hockey, a role to strengthen the overall UCC hockey program, from 2012 to 2014. I’ve also coached baseball, soccer and basketball at UCC. I’ve taught multiple grade levels at the Prep and spent several years living on campus and working in the boarding community. I’m pursuing my master’s degree in education leadership and policy at U of T and enjoy spending family time with my wife Gretel and daughter Pippa.

Current Title: Prep School physical education teacher
Academic Background: B.Ed. and a member of both the hockey and track and field teams (Bowling Green State University in Ohio), M.A. Kinesiology (University of Western Ontario) where I was an assistant coach for the National Championship winning men’s hockey team.
Work Experience: After completing my Masters degree, I had the opportunity to play professional hockey in the U.S. before I began my teaching career. Upon returning to Canada, I taught phys ed at two private schools before joining UCC in 2004. I have worked at numerous hockey schools and have a small personal training business.
Biography: I am currently teaching Year 1, 4, 5 and 7. I am one of the coaches of the Year 5 hockey team and the Year 6 track and field team. I enjoy exercising, traveling, and spending time with my wife Nadine and son Andrew.

Current Title: Prep School Athletic Director and Design teacher
Academic Background: B. Sc. (University of Western Ontario),
B. Ed. (University of Western Ontario)
Work Experience: Before UCC I taught in a small town in the NWT called Fort Liard.
Biography: I joined the College in 1990. I’ve been an adviser for Year 5 and taught math, science and physical education and currently teach Year 6 physical education and Year 7 design. I was also a Senior Admission Counsellor for many years. I’ve coached almost every sport offered at the Prep over my time here and currently coach the U11A Soccer team and the U11 Softball team. I have very much enjoyed teaching, running the athletic program and meeting many new families through the admission process. My son Cameron graduated from the Upper School in June 2015 and my daughter graduated from Havergal College in June 2017.
