Biography: I have been teaching at UCC since 2001 as a middle division math teacher, form adviser, and now ICT integrator and Year 6 design teacher. I have a personal passion for the integration of technology into all areas of teaching and I was selected to attend the Google Teacher Academy in London, England in October 2014. I am now a Google-certified teacher, continuing to help students and teachers integrate technology into their programs. I love to travel and have had several successful home exchanges around the world. I cherish spending time with my husband Tom Sharpe, a science and design teacher at the Prep, and my son Alex.

Biography: The focus of my life has been to live each moment like an adventure in a great novel. I have no time for television or shopping malls. I’m constantly on the move, learning a new skill or reading a classic novel that challenges my understanding of the world around me. I photograph and design the Prep Times yearbook and coach the U13 cross-country team. In my spare moments I work as a commercial food and product photographer, travel extensively and play bass with a variety of musicians in Toronto.

Biography: I graduated from Queen’s University with an Intermediate and Senior designation, but a practicum that I had teaching science and outdoor education to students in grades 5 and 6 at the Island Natural Science School changed my path. I gained enough insight to know that this is where I needed to be. I just started my 21st year at UCC and I’ve never looked back. I’m blessed with a supportive family including my wife, Lisa, and my two kids, Indigo (Grade 4) and Olin (Grade 1). Aside from my passion for the sciences and maths, I enjoy keeping active by playing hockey, soccer, going to the gym and playing golf.

Work Experience: Before UCC I taught in a small town in the NWT called Fort Liard.
Biography: I joined the College in 1990. I’ve been an adviser for Year 5 and taught math, science and physical education and currently teach Year 6 physical education and Year 7 design. I was also a Senior Admission Counsellor for many years. I’ve coached almost every sport offered at the Prep over my time here and currently coach the U11A Soccer team and the U11 Softball team. I have very much enjoyed teaching, running the athletic program and meeting many new families through the admission process. My son Cameron graduated from the Upper School in June 2015 and my daughter graduated from Havergal College in June 2017.
