Current Title: Upper School Head of Science and senior house adviser for Scadding’s
Academic Background: B.Sc. (Royal Military College), B.Ed. (Queen’s University)
Biography: Jet fighter pilot was at the top of my list when considering career paths at the end of high school. I undertook flight crew selection and ran into what was at the time a major disappointment. Still eager to fly, I took lessons during Grade 12 and fondly remember my first solo flight. After graduating from Royal Military College, I spent the next four years in the navy and air force and remember my land survival course where, after days without food, a trapped and skinned raccoon and worm-ridden river fish became welcomed meals. I’ve had great fun for over 10 years at UCC working alongside a terrific group of teachers in the science department, coaching volleyball and guiding the Science Club.
